{Carmel Wedding Photographer} Amber & Jared… Married

Amber & Jared’s wedding at the Sacramento LDS temple was soooooooooo beautiful! I was beyond thrilled to shoot this wedding and it was even more gorgeous than I imagined it would be. Amber chose the perfect spring colors… her bouquet was one of my favorites EVER, and the reception was full of amazing vintage details. Here are my absolute favorites from the wedding day…

Central Coast Wedding Photographer {12 shoots in 2012 – the tree farm session}
Posted on December 22, 2012
As 2012 soon comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about my goals for next year and also about the ones I set this year . I wanted to do 12 photo shoots of my own children this year (one for each month) and while I didn’t make it to twelve as wedding season arrived and then the busy Christmas season, I’m so glad that I attempted this little project. I ended up taking more pictures of my kids, which is exactly why I set that goal in the first place, and I have some really unique pictures to show for it. I’ve also spent a lot more time dreaming up fun themed sessions and I’ll probably bring some of my ideas to shoots next year, as well. I can’t wait! For our Christmas cards this year, I had this idea in my head that didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted, but I’m still proud of this mini session. We drove about an hour to this adorable Christmas tree farm, called Crest Ranch, up in the mountains of Santa Cruz. It was quite an adventure… the weather was a lot colder than we were expecting. We were FREEZING the entire time (I somehow forgot to bring a jacket!). It also became dark a lot sooner than I expected, so by the time we got there after picking the kids up from school, the sun was nearly behind the hills! However, our entire family had a blast, and we were able to capture some great images for our card this year (and enjoyed hot chocolate and a trip to Pizza My Heart afterward – bonus!!!). Here are a few favorites from our quick little photo shoot…

The R. Family {Monterey Family Photographer, Sacramento Family Photography}

I did baby J.’s newborn pictures almost exactly one year ago, and when I found out that his mommy is a hair stylist, I mentioned that if she was ever interested in trading, I would love to. So I was really excited when she contacted me a few months ago to see if I was still interested in a trade (and she is an amazing stylist, so I’m really happy it all worked out!! Check out her facebook page HERE.). When they told me that they wanted their family session in Old Sacramento, I couldn’t be happier. It’s such a great location with plenty of cool backdrops. And it was so fun to see how big little J. and his older brother, C., are getting! Aren’t they so cute!! Here are some favorites…
I Heart Faces challenge {Monterey & Carmel Newborn Photographer}
Posted on February 1, 2011
It’s been a while since I last participated in the I Heart Faces weekly challenge, but when I read what this week’s challenge was going to be, I simply couldn’t resist entering. I am just completely in love with this image of my friend’s adorable son, taken earlier this month. More from this session coming soon!
The S. Family {Rocklin Portrait Photographer}

I just found this great new spot for photo shoots, so I tried it out with the S. family last week. My least favorite part was when I stepped into a giant mud puddle in the grass and covered my feet and shoes in mud (note to self: do not wear flip-flops to photo shoots) but other than that, the session went great! Thank you, S. family! I had a blast and I hope you enjoy your pictures!
