My younger sister and her hubby came out to Monterey to spend Christmas with us, and when Kim asked if I would do pictures for her and Rob, I couldn’t resist!  They are so great in front of the camera and so in love.  We had a fun time shooting in downtown Carmel and then drove to Big Sur for beach shots.  We got to the beach just as the sun had gone down over the ocean, but that didn’t mean that we weren’t still going to shoot for a good twenty minutes!  The light was pretty anyway!  Here are a whole bunch of favorites…

Our family had the big bi-annual Ashby reunion this summer and when I saw the location, I just about gasped!  A private lake, all to ourselves, complete with two little islands in the middle of the lake.  When I saw the rowboat, I decided to ask my sister-in-law, Beth, if she and her hubby would be interested in ’letting me’ take pictures of them with it.  Doing a session on a lake with a row boat has been a long time dream of mine, so I wasn’t ready to pass up the opportunity!  They are SO adorable together, and we had an awesome time doing their session (luckily, I carefully cropped out my husband on the Sea Doo in the background! LOL!).  Here are a bunch of faves…

I couldn’t decide if I liked this next picture in color or black and white.  So I posted both!  ;)

Thanks, Beth & Brian, for being such willing and gorgeous participants!!

Corey and Susie got married today!  Wahoo!  It was such an amazing day!  Stay tuned for pictures from the wedding day. :)   In the meantime, I’d like to share their bridal/groomal session that we did last weekend.  They are total naturals in front of the camera, and obviously SO in love.  I adore these two!

Susie and Corey are getting married this Saturday, and I CAN’T WAIT!!!  I did their bridal pictures last weekend and they both looked so stunning.  It’s going to be a gorgeous wedding!  I am so behind on blogging that I never got a chance to post their engagment session we did back in the beginning of April.  Better late than never, right?  ;)   Soooo many favorites, but here are just a few that I love.

Sometimes it’s fun to just get out there and shoot… just for the heck of it!  That’s why my friend, Sandy Runner, and I planned this photo session — just for fun!  And it was!!  She found someone to let us use their classic car as a prop and brought an adorable cruiser bike, we each brought a set of models, and just enjoyed the evening “playing” (as I like to call it).  :)   The first couple, Chelsea & Dominic, recently got engaged, and I was SO excited to meet them.  They were both really sweet and obviously very much in love…

The second couple, Kimberly & Justin, were so photogenic and fun to work with!  Kimberly used to be roommates with my little sister, and when I asked my sis if she knew any cute, fun couples, she immediately thought of Kimberly & Justin.  Here are a ton more favorites from the session (I just couldn’t narrow down which ones to post… and there were a ton more favorites!).

I had a blast photographing Mona & Ryan’s wedding last Saturday!  But before I share some of those pictures, I thought I should share a few from their bridal session (or should I call it a “groomal session” since Ryan was in most of the pictures, too?).  We headed up to the Empire Mine in Grass Valley, and my goodness!  Is it ever gorgeous up there!  The perfect setting for some formal wedding pictures.  Here are some of my favorites…

Remember this adorable couple from way back in March?  Well, last weekend they got married!!!  They are just the sweetest couple EVER and I had tons of fun photographing their wedding day at the Oakland LDS temple.  It was one gorgeous, sunny day and we had tons of fun taking pictures around the temple, as well as a nearby forest.  Thanks, Amber & Dan, for allowing me to share this special day with you!  Now, on to some favorites from the day…

I have been very busy editing pictures from Kim & Rob’s wedding!  I’m not even close to being finished, but since I had close to 80 favorites that I wanted to share on the blog, I thought I’d break it up into a couple of posts.  Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful and I had such a fun time photographing all the details of the day!  Here’s the first round of favorites!
