Violet – five days old {Monterey Newborn Photographer, Sacramento Newborn Photography}

I photographed sweet little Violet almost two months ago… yeah, I’m a little behind on blogging! But I’m trying to catch up! If you follow Susanne Ashby Photography on Facebook, you’ll catch more of the sneak peeks. 🙂 She was just as sweet as can be and had such beautiful skin. I usually spend quite a bit of time in photoshop fixing newborn skin, since they tend to have lots of red spots and dry patches, but Violet had the most perfect, gorgeous skin! It was easy peasy editing her pictures! Anyway, on to some of my favorites from her session…

The R. Family {Monterey Family Photographer, Sacramento Family Photography}

I did baby J.’s newborn pictures almost exactly one year ago, and when I found out that his mommy is a hair stylist, I mentioned that if she was ever interested in trading, I would love to. So I was really excited when she contacted me a few months ago to see if I was still interested in a trade (and she is an amazing stylist, so I’m really happy it all worked out!! Check out her facebook page HERE.). When they told me that they wanted their family session in Old Sacramento, I couldn’t be happier. It’s such a great location with plenty of cool backdrops. And it was so fun to see how big little J. and his older brother, C., are getting! Aren’t they so cute!! Here are some favorites…

Brianna’s spring session {Rocklin Senior Portraits, Monterey Senior Portraits}

My gorgeous senior rep, Brianna, had her spring session last week and I am in LOVE with how it turned out! The weather was perfect, Bri looked amazing, and all the locations fit together so well. We headed over to one of my favorite urban spots to start the session…

One of the buildings I like to shoot in front of is being converted into a recording studio, so the owner asked us if we wanted to take some pictures inside. Heck yeah!Then we headed over to my favorite field. I was pretty stoked when Bri showed me her prom dress that she wanted to wear for some of the pictures!!

At the end of the session, we stopped by the high school track for some pictures in her uniform. LOVE this one…

And then a few with her little sister (who I can’t wait to photograph in a couple of years — hopefully at the beach in Carmel!!!)

Spring pictures {Rocklin & Monterey Children’s Photographer}

Remember little miss A. from last August? I LOVED how her newborn pictures turned out and now she’s already six months old! I can hardly believe it! So I was super excited when her mommy mentioned getting some six month pictures along with pictures of her three other adorable kiddos! We went to one of my favorite fields for the session (which happens to have long grass with pretty white flowers at the moment – loved it!). Here are a few favorites…

Baby B. {Monterey Newborn Photographer}

I had the chance to photograph my good friend, Morgan Werner’s, adorable baby boy last month (yeah… I’m a little behind on blogging!). She drove all the way from Monterey to get pictures, and I am SO glad she did because we had a blast! Plus, little B. is one of the cutest babies I have EVER seen!! AND Morgan knits, so she brought some cute, cute, CUTE hats to use for the session! Here are a bunch of favorites…

Oh my gosh! I just saw that you posted this! Thanks a lot for making me nearly cry – AGAIN! The older and bigger Bowen gets (and he’s only 7 weeks old now) the more I love these pictures. You only get one first baby and they’re only newborn like this once. Thank you so much!
