Nestldown Wedding {sneak peek!}

I’m currently working on this gorgeous wedding and wanted to share a little sneak peek! The ceremony took place at the Santa Clara University Mission and the reception was at Nestldown in Los Gatos. Here are a handful of favorites I just couldn’t wait to share!

Impressions blog circle: October edition {Monterey Wedding Portrait Photographer}

‘Impressions’ is a creative project by an eclectic group of female photographers from around the globe. We aim to share the inspiration behind what we do through our monthly posts. On the 8th of each month, we will be sharing images that tell the story of what inspired us in the previous weeks: our families, nature, weather, or maybe even work itself! We are free to explore the meaning of ‘impressions’, and it is likely to change month to month.

I don’t share many of my personal pictures on my blog, so in an effort to put myself out there more, I’ve joined up with this group of amazing photographers and we’re starting this blog circle. For the month of October, I thought I’d share some of the happenings at the Ashby household… My three kiddos in their Halloween costumes, our Harry Potter themed halloween party, and some fun we had at our favorite pumpkin farm in Sacramento area, Bishop’s pumpkin farm!

Carmel Maternity Portrait Photographer {Megan + Jon}

I first met Megan & Jon back in 2011 when I was getting ready to photograph their wedding day. They were such a fun couple (any girl that will happily walk next to the ocean in her wedding dress and do any pose I request earns major brownie points with me!). I had a blast on their big day! Now they’re expecting their first baby, so they asked if we could head back to downtown Carmel and go to the same spots where we did some of their wedding portraits. I couldn’t be happier to oblige! We ended the shoot at my favorite beach in Carmel. Isn’t Megan SUCH a gorgeous mama-to-be?!

Monterey Marina Family Portraits

I’ve been photographing this darling family for the past four years (starting with little M.’s newborn session!) and I just adore them! Oakland Temple LDS Wedding {Victoria… Steve Married!}

Victoria… Steve’s wedding was simply beautiful! We started at the Oakland temple, with the perfect partly cloudy weather. Then headed over to Folsom for the reception. I loved the bright sunny yellow and navy blue colors that Victoria chose! It was fun getting to know this sweet couple on their big day!! Here are some favorite images from their wedding…
