If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you may remember my youngest daughter’s mermaid party last year. I love doing fun things for my littles and being creative truly makes my heart happy, so when a birthday is coming up, I get especially excited with the possibilities of what we can do to celebrate! My Sophie loves pretending to be a fairy, so when I started thinking about the theme I would do this year for her fifth birthday, I knew it had to be a Tinkerbell/Neverland party. So I started to brainstorm (you can see my Pinterest board HERE). I’m a one woman show when it comes to these things and I love creating the details, the party favors, the cake, etc. I googled how to make sugar cookies for this party, and through a bit of trial and error, made some fairy wing sugar cookies (I’d say my first try wasn’t half bad!). Also made edible gumball necklaces, which included a reusable flower hair clip. I played around with watercolor and made place cards for the table with the guests names on them. The giant tissue paper flowers were one of my favorite things I made (so easy to make!) as well as the tutu purses that each guest took home. Overall, the party was a success and when all was said and done, all that mattered was that my daughter loved it and was able to create some sweet memories with her friends!
