And check out this super cute button art butterfly that she made!  I found the frame at a local antique store. 

She also made this little cake stand out of felt and ALL this felt food!  Each of the girls got to take home a couple of the felt cookies in little “doggie bags” for their dolls. 

She also made these darling silhouettes of Kylee and her American Girl doll…  AND sewed an outfit for each girl to take home for their own doll!The table was set with china found at Goodwill (we found a full set for less than $30!) and each girl had a mini tea cup for their doll…The birthday girl with her Samantha doll and her new Rebecca doll (that arrived at the party a little late – as a surprise!)…Cute craft the girls made… decorating their own flower pots and making flower pens…Last, but not least… Freeze dancing!  Always a party favorite! 

I traveled over to the bay area for little S.’s session and it was TOTALLY worth the two hour drive to get to photograph this little beauty!  When her mommy brought out a knit bonnet that her own grandmother had made for her when she was a baby… I flipped!  It was so adorable!  And I LOVE it when clients request to use sentimental items in their session.  Here are a bunch of favorites… 

I photographed sweet little Violet almost two months ago… yeah, I’m a little behind on blogging!  But I’m trying to catch up!  If you follow Susanne Ashby Photography on Facebook, you’ll catch more of the sneak peeks.    She was just as sweet as can be and had such beautiful skin.  I usually spend quite a bit of time in photoshop fixing newborn skin, since they tend to have lots of red spots and dry patches, but Violet had the most perfect, gorgeous skin!  It was easy peasy editing her pictures!  Anyway, on to some of my favorites from her session…

I did baby J.’s newborn pictures almost exactly one year ago, and when I found out that his mommy is a hair stylist, I mentioned that if she was ever interested in trading, I would love to.  So I was really excited when she contacted me a few months ago to see if I was still interested in a trade (and she is an amazing stylist, so I’m really happy it all worked out!!  Check out her facebook page HERE.).  When they told me that they wanted their family session in Old Sacramento, I couldn’t be happier.  It’s such a great location with plenty of cool backdrops.  And it was so fun to see how big little J. and his older brother, C., are getting!  Aren’t they so cute!!  Here are some favorites…

My gorgeous senior rep, Brianna, had her spring session last week and I am in LOVE with how it turned out!  The weather was perfect, Bri looked amazing, and all the locations fit together so well.  We headed over to one of my favorite urban spots to start the session…

One of the buildings I like to shoot in front of is being converted into a recording studio, so the owner asked us if we wanted to take some pictures inside.  Heck yeah!Then we headed over to my favorite field.  I was pretty stoked when Bri showed me her prom dress that she wanted to wear for some of the pictures!!

At the end of the session, we stopped by the high school track for some pictures in her uniform.  LOVE this one…

And then a few with her little sister (who I can’t wait to photograph in a couple of years — hopefully at the beach in Carmel!!!)
