I had a wonderful time photographing little M. yesterday afternoon!  His mommy was well prepared with lots of knit goodies for me to use (some made by his gran’ma!).  At two weeks old, I rarely am able to get many sleeping pictures, since babies tend to become quite a bit more alert at that age.  However, little M. slept wonderfully and we went from one pose to the next with hardly a peep! 

Time to get that family session done!  I was beyond thrilled when my good friend, Amy Schuff (who is a VERY talented photographer…  view her work HERE!), asked me if I’d be interested in doing a trade.  Her family is beyond adorable and super fun, too!  Check out how cute they are…

And this!  The unplanned moments are always my favorite.  I told mom & dad to kiss and the kids did too. 

 And then at the end, we just let the kids run wild.  This is one of my favorites from the session (it TOTALLY reminds me of how my own busy/fun kiddos are!).

Remember THIS beautiful mama-to-be?  Well, I had the amazing privilege to attend the birth today!  SUCH an honor!  And their new little guy is just as (tiny and) cute as can be!!  I got there as soon as I could after they were admitted.  She hadn’t gotten the epidural yet and her doula and hubby were helping her through some tough contractions…   

Her mom was able to be there, too!

The pushing part went VERY quick and B. did such an amazing job!

It was so sweet to see the instant love for their new son!!

With Gran’ma… I LOVE this one!!  Congrats B. & N.!  I can hardly wait to do the newborn pictures in a few days.  (Yay!!)

I don’t think there is anything more adorable than a newborn yawning!  I caught this little guy in action.  Thank you, A., for inviting me into your home to capture this time for your family!  Your two boys are just the cutest!!

Remember Miss B.’s maternity session HERE?  Well, she’s due in just a couple of weeks and we’ve been talking for literally MONTHS about doing a session for her in a lake.  She scoped out a gorgeous location for me at a friend’s private lake and the whole thing couldn’t have turned out more perfect!  (Aside from the mud that she nearly got stuck in!  What a trooper!!)  ALL  the pictures from her session are my favorite, so it was nearly impossible to choose which ones to feature here, but I did my best.    Check ‘em out…
